Shri B. Rabu Manohar, President of Seva Bharati, Uttar Tamil Nadu has lodged a complaint with Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kilpauk Zone, Chennai for the malicious propaganda unleashed with a criminal intent to defame Seva Bharati by alleging the organisation to have joined hands with the cops in the custodial death of the father (Jayaraj) and son (Benix) duo in Sathankulam, Thoottukudi, Tamil Nadu.

The common refrain of all the three above mentioned videos are that the Seva Bharati members in the garb of Friends of Police have actively collaborated with the accused cops of Sathankulam Police station in the killing of the father- son duo.
In fact, there is no organization of Seva Bharati in the Sathankulam. Seva Bharati, in the name of Friends of Police, did not work with the police in any police station in Tamil Nadu. None of the three videos accuse about a specific person of Seva Bharati and in which place did the person was associated in Seva Bharati service activities or in which unit of Friends of Police.
The forces inimical to Seva Bharati deliberately spread the canard just out of their frustration and realisation arising out of the fact Seva Bharati has earned enormous good will over the last thirty plus years. Particularly Seva Bharati has a reputation of serving the common public without any bias of caste, creed ,religion or language in times of disasters or natural calamities throughout the nation. In Tamil Nadu, during the days of Tsunami in 2004, Great Floods of Chennai in, Cyclones of various years for it’s selfless service Seva Bharati was appreciated even by it’s critics. Currently, in the testing times of Covid 19, both the North and South Tamil Nadu units of Seva Bharati is in the forefront of service from day one.
The above videos clearly exhibit the intention of the persons and their group to tarnish image of the Seva Bharati and tries to divide the people on the basis of religion. Further they try to influence the course of CBCID investigation. It gives rise to a suspicion as to whether they are trying to save the real culprits.
Therefore, Seva Bharati urges the Police to register a case under the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act and further take suitable action through the relevant legal authorities to ban all the three channels and remove the videos from the website.
