Webinar on RSS-HSS Blood Donors Meet held today being the Blood Donor’s Day in Chennai. Special Invitee Shri Shanthanu Bhagyaraj appreciated the consistent work of blood donors and appealed to create more awareness for which he said his support will be there.
Shri Ramakrishna Prasad, Sah Prant Karyavah addressed the gathering on webinar. Citing anecdote on whoever gives goes to Godliness state, he insisted the need for blood donation which saves one’s precious life. As per data, the need for blood is one crore two lakh unit of blood whereas only 90 lakh is met. Only 1% are donating, reason seems that more awareness needs to be created, he said. By donating blood, our body rejuvenates and this awareness movement needs to be strengthened.
Nirmal Kumar RSS-HSS Blood Donor co-ordinator informed that 2086 units of blood donated, 13 camps were held so far and during COVID—19, 94 persons donated blood.
