A fire accident took place at Contonment Pallavaram - Narikuravar Colony last week. On hearing the news, Swayamsevaks from Pammal, Anakaputhur, Pozhichalur, Chromepet, Chitlapakkam visited the place and made an assessment of the situation. It is felt that the immediate needs are drinking water, food and clothing. Swayamsevaks spent the Diwali day with the nomads. Food was distributed to 350 people along with 5000 water packets. Swayamsevaks also collected relief materials from nearby areas. Clothes were also distributed to around 350 people. Sevabharati is planning for more rehabilitation work for the affected people.
