Protest: One-day Hunger protest successful

An impressive one-day Hunger Protest was held at Valluvar Kottam called by the ‘Virugambakkam Mettukulam Retrieving Committee’, Chennai today and nearly 200 persons participated in the protest.

Sri L Ganesan, BJP appealed to the Government that much to the surprise of everybody, when AIADMK came to power, the Chief Minister initially took action on land grabbers. Why the Government of Tamilnadu, now is inactive in taking action against land grabbers? The Government should take action to retrieve the temple land from the illegal occupiers and hand it over to the Committee. He strongly condemned the threatening made by anti-social elements to the City President of RSS Sri Durai Shankar (Vibhag Sanghachalak) who is very much involved in the struggle. He further said that it is the responsibility of the Government to take care of him and the BJP, Hindu Munnani and parivar organizations will not tolerate any such action against Sri Durai Shankar.

Sri V G Kumar presided over the Hunger protest along with Smt D Alamelu. Sri Ramagopalan, Hindu Munnani, Smt. Thamizhisai Soundararajan, BJP, Sri Pon Radhakrishnan, State President BJP, Sri Durai Shankar, City President of RSS (Vibhag Sanghachalak), and Sri Elangovan City Secretary of Hindu Munnani participated in the protest.

  1. Tenkasi atrocities where temple lands were grabbed by local Muslims and when protested, they beheaded three members of the family in broad daylight to terrorise Hindus there. DMK did not take any action against the kiullers who are roaming freely in the area, occupying the temple land and carrying out gambling an drinking near the temple.

Action should be initiated against them to restore the temple lands

    1. Yes, Hindu organizations must insist on the arrest of the killers of the 3 Pandian brothers, who only protected temple property from the criminals.
