Food (Lunch and Dinner) was provided through community kitchen run by BSS volunteers for 45 days where in 6,12,000 people from other states were benefitted in Chennai alone.
Touching moment is a Swayamsevak working with Vaishanavi Catering community kitchen took care of a pregnant lady from Tripura here in Chennai by delivering food etc. After giving birth to a male child, she named her baby ‘Manikandan’ showing her gratitude for the service done by him.
Food was served by Bharati Seva Sangam volunteers for health care tourists who visited from other states for health treatments. 450 people were benefited from this seva.
500 families were provided with grocery kits, medical help for health treatments in Chennai by Bharati Seva Sangh Volunteers.
250 daily wage earners from other states living in Chennai by Food and grocery kits. Around 500 construction labourers were benefited in Alandur, Chennai. 500 migrants were taken care with food and grocery kits in Porur area, Chennai. Food was served for 45 days.
Migrant workers in Chennai (staying outside centres) are provided with two full meal of 2000 calories as advised by Greater Chennai Corporation. 8500 people benefited through this.
Travel arrangement through Bus was arranged for 200 families to North East.
15000 Sharmik travellers were provided with food by RSS and BSS volunteers in Chennai
Every request was immediately addressed and supported provided to BSS volunteers by Government officials on top priority.
