Statement of RSS Goa on BBSM stand

Prof. Subhash Velingkar (RSS Goa ex-Sanghachalak) was raising voice to promote regional languages as the medium of instruction in the State’s primary Schools. He was also fighting for withdrawal of grants to English Medium Schools and issue of dual citizenship authority in the State of Goa.Prof. Subhash Velingkar, the Convenor of Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) in a meeting announced to float a new political party. Amidst the controversy, RSS Goa has issued the following Statement.

Statement of RSS Goa

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is of the firm opinion that all efforts should be made to strengthen the system for primary education in Mother Tongue in all parts of the country. RSS has supported and will continue to support the cause of agitation in Goa by Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) which is in consonance with the aforesaid opinion of RSS.
As the part of agitation, BBSM has made announcement about formation of a political party. RSS, since its inception, has never been involved in politics, and hence, RSS would have no role in the political endeavour of BBSM.
With this background, it has been announced at a recent meeting of senior RSS office bearers in Goa that convenor of the BBSM Prof. Subhash Velingkar has been relieved from his responsibilities as the Goa Vibhag Sanghachalak.

Satish Modh

Konkan Prant Sanghachalak.

  2. Prof. Subhash Velingkar is not contesting forthcoming assembly polls in Goa. BBSM has floated a political outfit to expose Goa Unit of BJP over dual citizenship issue and continuance of grants to Chrurch-run primary schools. Goa BJP is involved in corruption, casino culture, drug-rackets, jobless culture and promotion of Portuguese culture. Only option with Swayamsevaks is to opt for the 'None of the Above' (NOTA) or counter haughty part-time defence minister politically. It is a strategic decision to float a political outfit to protect Indian culture against the failure of the BJP unit in Goa. Union Cabinet ministers Nitin Gadkari and Manohar Parrikar are to be blamed for the creation of RSS Goa Prant. It is a necessary evil in Goa! The boycotting election will bolster the ego of anti-national forces.
