'Reimagining India' - National Youth Conference begun in Chennai



Vivekananda Educational Trust was registered in the year 1991, a nonprofit service organization for Man-making education as propounded by Swami Vivekananda.
The Trust started its units- schools in the very needy rural areas like Thiruninravur, Minjur, Periyasekkadu, Mudichur, Vallur (NCTPS), with the support of donors and philanthropists. 

Celebrating its silver jubilee year – 25 years of Imprints & Impact – organized two day 8th National Youth Conference on the theme ‘Reimagining India’ with specific focus on ‘Make in India’ ‘Digital India’ ‘Swachch Bharat’ and ‘Skilled India’.


Swami Vimurtananda Maharaj, Sri Ramakrishna Mutt. Mylapore,  Renowned  Scientist  Dr. TGK Murthy, Scientific Advisor to Government of India, Former Scientist ISRO, Smt. Kiran Soni Gupta IAS Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports & Ministry of Skills Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, New Delhi, Dr. Madhukar Gupta, IAS, Additional Secretary,  Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India, Professor K. Subrahmanyam, Former Principal, National Defence Academy are the some of key personalities handling sessions in the event.
Around 400 delegates representing Colleges/Universities are the participants of this event. 
His Excellency Sri. V. Shanmuganathan, Governor of Meghalaya and Manipur inaugurated and delivered the inaugural address.
His address encapsulated the biodiversity of our country, the treasure trove of literature of the Indian literature which will act as driving force for the younger generation.
He exhorted the participants to aim for the innovation and come out with remedies for the present day challenges.
