Hindu leadership questions Hindu baiters

Meet Swami Chaithanyananda. He heads Vivekananda Ashramam in Vellimalai near Kanyakumari. Last week, he had an unusual visitor to his Ashram. It was M K Stalin, son of M Karunanidhi. As part of his party’s programme, Stalin, the treasurer of DMK, an avowedly anti-Hindu party, is visiting places and meeting people. In this context he met Swami Chaithanyananda. Swami ji candidly advised Stalin to stop anti-Hindu tirades by his party and threw him on the defensive.

A novel way to rebuff an anti-Hindu novel

A novel way to rebuff the novel vilifying Hindu women, written by a Communist, was suggested by noted columnist S Gurumurthy. He was addressing a gathering of the women of Tiruchengodu (near Erode). It may be remembered that the small town was up in arms against the vilifying novel which portrayed women devotees of the Ardhanareeswara (Shiva) temple in the town. Gurumurthy’s suggestion was, Hindu women should visit the temple in huge numbers during Vaikasi Visakam festival (May-June) indicating the resoluteness of Hindu society. The gathering was also addressed by Prof. Kanakasabapathy of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch and Smt Deepa Sakthivel of Tiruchengodu.

After Ambur police, Puzhal jail officials taste jihadi barbarism

Puzhal central prison near Chennai is the huge jail establishment where dangerous terrorists are housed in the high security section. The other day, a group of Al-umma detenus attacked and injured four prison guards. Not only that, they managed to lock up two jail officials inside their cells. The ADGP had to come and conduct talks with the terrorists in order to ‘release the officials’. Critics including BJP functionaries described the incident as “terrorists staged an Ambur in Puzhal”. (It may be remembered that about 40 policemen and police women were severely beaten up by a gang of Jihadis in Ambur during a public demonstration). The immediate action by the authorities after the Puzhal incident was to shift a few terrorist to another prison. This prompted opposition parties to express concern over the law and order situation in the State. Particularly, the Hindu Munnani State Organiser Shri Bakthavatsalam pointed out the lack of a forum for the police and other uniformed personnel to vent their grievances. He was addressing a demonstration by Hindu Munnani in Chennai to condemn the Puzhal atrocity of the terrorists. Hindu Munnani also staged similar demonstrations throughout the state. General opinion is that the State Government and the Central Government must work out a mechanism to protect law enforcing personnel.
