Senior RSS leader Na Krishnappa Ji is no more

Late Shri Na Krishnappa
A Senior RSS Pracharak who enhanced the role of Kutumbam in nation building

Shri Krishnappa ji

Maananiya Shri Na. Krishnappaji, former Dakshina Kshetra Pracharak of RSS passed away on August 10 at 10.55 a.m. in Bangalore.

He was a source of life-long inspiration to many.  He dedicated his life for the sake of society and that spirit is continuing even after his death. His body was donated to a medical college to benefit students as per his wish.

A guiding force to many, Krishnappaji, was a pleasing and lovable personality, who respected each and everyone irrespective of his or her age and gave a patient hearing.

Though he was diagnosed as a cancer patient 25 years back,he took a bold decision of not going in for any treatment or medicine. However, he followed a diet pattern and with a strong will power he could keep the disease at a distance for nearly 3 decades.  His face remained calm and quite and always cheerful in spite of his illness.  He has guided many cancer patients including those in their   advanced stage of cancer, many of them deriving inspiration to cheerfully face the disease.

During the last 10 years, his focus was on Kutumbha Prabodhan work, which he has designed in a simple way. He exchanged ideas with hundreds of families.  In fact, he has cultivated many families notonly in Karnataka, but also in Tamilnadu and other states in such a way that all the family’s feel that he is one among the family.  His love and warmth is cherised by all the members of the families and they will continue to cherish it for a long time.

He has not only inspired many swayamsevaks to come out as Pracharaks/Vistaraks but also inspired many swayamsevaks to devote more time to work for the society work.  His guidance to Sangh and Vividha Kshetra organisations has been invaluable, particularly during crucial periods.

Every year, Krishnappaji’s family used to organize a function on the banks of River Kaveri in Karnataka for the newly married couples, in which thousands of couples including those from Tamilnadu, have participated.  As per his wish,    this function has been started three years back on the banks of River Kaveri in Trichy and it has become an annual feature.

RSS Sarsanghachalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Suresh Bhayya ji Joshi, Sah-sarkaryavahs Dattatreya Hosabale, V Bhagaiah, Dr. Krishan Gopal, Suresh Soni, senior RSS functionaries including MG Vaidya, Sitaram Kedilaya, Dr. Manmohan Vaidya, Kshetreeya Sanghachalak V Nagaraj and several others expressed their condolences on the demise of Na Krishnappa.

  3. When he was a Kshetrya Adhikari, ji came to our Shayam shaka at Mettupalayam Perumal Koil, Saidapet. Ji also came to our home. He also enquired about me when I met him in a Shibir some 10 years ago. He was very much simple, approachable and strong in his mission.

Pray for his Soul rest in peace.
