RSS inspired Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) Tamilnadu a tiny, small and medium manufacturing enterprises association organized an event on topic being ‘Global expectation on quality; An auto component perspective’ on August 31 in Chennai. LUB has always endeavored to further the cause of SME sector India in several ways: making representation to Government on policy matter concerning small industries, knowledge sharing, inputs for policy making and giving collective voice to small manufacturers.
Dr.Ravichandran, former CEO of TVS Lucas and a well-known personality in auto-component industry spoke on the occasion and emphasized on the fact that to remain competitive focus on “Zero defect and Zero effect”. Zero defect increases productivity and Zero effect ensures no damage is caused to environment. He also stressed the need for manufacturers to continuously innovate. He further stressed that innovation need not be expensive R&D activity. It can be simple idea giving greater value to customer.
Dr. Ravichandran advised manufacturers that many retired professional who have experience in quality are available. And this talent pool should be utilized.
President Shri Hariharan, Vice President Shri Suresh Kumar and other office bearers of LUB were present. Around 100 people participated in the event.
The talk was followed by Rakshabandhan. Shri Ramakrishna Prasad Sah Prant Karyavah (UTN) spoke on the event and the participants tied Rakhi with each other.
