Hindu Munnani Coimbatore District spokesperson Sasikumar (36) was hacked to death by unidentified persons on Thursday night. Sasikumar was returning home at 10.30 pm. Then at two motorcycles and four unidentified persons who followed him suddenly interrupted the vehicle and started attacking.Sasikumar managed to run away, but the unidentified miscreants hacked him with sickles and ran away. Lying in the pool of blood on the road, local residents immediately took him to the nearby private hospital and admitted there. But he could not be saved, he passed away. Outraged Hindu activists staged a demo before the Commissioner office at Coimbatore for justice. Hindu Munnani State President Shri Kadeswara Subramaniam strongly condemned the brutal attack and called for a state-wide bandh today.
