Press Release: Stop Diabetes Movement Camp

STOP DIABETES MOVEMENT – ONE WEEK YOGA CAMP 
In order to spread awareness about diabetes and preventing diabetes among the Indians (more than 61 millions are affected), a Nationwide movement titled ‘Stop Diabetes Movement’ is going to be launched on International Yoga Day i.e., 21st June 2015 by Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samasthana (VYASA); with technical support from S-VYASA University, Bengaluru; in collaboration with Arogyabharati and Indian Yoga Association and with the support of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of AYUSH. VYASA through its 30 years of continuous research has found that YOGA is the cost effective and sure way to manage / control DIABETES. Based on the above research, over 2000 Yoga Camps are planned throughout the country for one week between 21st and 27th June 2015 with the active help of RSS inspired Arogya Bharati, Vidya Bharathi, Seva Bharathi, Kreeda Bharathi etc. A DVD, which will be utilized during the Yoga Camp along with a book was released in the Press Conference held in New Delhi on 13th of this month by Shri J.P.Nadda, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Shri Shripad Yasso Naik, Hon’b;e Minister of State for AYUSH in the presence of Dr.H.R.Nagendra, Chairman of Experts Committee for International Day of Yoga and Chancellor, S-VYASA University.

In Tamilnadu, more than 300 Yoga Camps are planned from 21st to 27th June between 6.00 a.m. and 8.00 a.m., or 6.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m., daily in all districts for the benefit of people suffering from diabetes or who are prone to diabetes. In Chennai itself more than 75 camps are planned in almost all important localities like Thiruvottiyur, Perambur, Ambattur, T.Nagar, Mylapore, Triplicane, Chromepet etc.
