Brain Storming Seminar on the views of Swami Vivekananda in Chennai

'150th year Celebrations Committee of Swami Vivekananda' of Tamilnadu has organized a day long seminar at 'Infosys Hall', Sri Ramakrishna Mission Matriculation School, T Nagar, Chennai at 10.00 a.m. on 31.3.2013.  Swami Vimurthananda Maharaj, Editor, Sri Ramakrishna Vijayam, Ramakrishna Matt, Chennai will deliver Special Address at the inaugural session presided over by Shri G Rajagopalan, Senior Advocate, Chennai.

Shri Aravindan Neelagandan (Journalist, Thinker & Author) & Dr. R.Srinivasan (Sastra University, Thanjavur) will present papers on 'Swami Vivekananda's views on Religious Harmony'.  The first plenary session will be presided by Smt.Arthi Ganesh (Pro Chancellor, VELS University).

Prof. P Kanagasabapathy (Director, Centre of Indian Economy & Culture Studies, Coimbatore) & Shri A Krishnamachari (Editor, Panchajanyam magazine) have consented to present papers on 'Swami Vivekananda's views on Religious Conversion'.  The second plenary session will be presided by Dr. K S Lakshmi, Secretary, Meenakshi College, Chennai.

Prof. V Insuvai (Prof. IRT Polytechnic) & Sri A Ramakrishna Prasad (Thinker and Speaker) will present their papers on 'Swami Vivekananda's views on National Identity'.  The third plenary session will be presided by Smt. Thangam Meganathan, Chairperson, Rajalakshmi Group of Institutions, Chennai.

Swami Mithrananda Maharaj (Acharya, Chinmaya Mission) willl deliver the valedictory address at the end of the session.

A special function is also organized where:

• If all religions are one and equal, why conversions?
• Do you know the dangers of conversions?
• Is conversion a solution to problems?
• Do converted people has got solution to their problems?
• What are the drawbacks in us, which leads to conversion?
• Steps to be taken to  curb conversion.
