A Press Meet was conducted today at Andhra Mahila Sabha, Hotel Raj Palace at 12:30Hrs as a curtain raiser for the All India Executive Council's 3-Day meeting. Dr. Manmohan Vaidya, Akhil Bharatha Prachar Pramukh (All India Media Relations) addressed the media and took questions about the meeting.
Dr Manmohan Vaidya explained that Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini Mandal Baitak (ABKM) or All India Executive Council's 3-Day Meeting will be held for the first time in Chennai on Nov.2,3 and 4, 2012 at Sushil Hari International Residential School, Kelambakkam in the esteemed presence of Sarsanghachalak Mohanji Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah (General Secretary) of RSS Shri Bhayyaji Joshi will preside over this meeting of ABKM. Last year it was held in Gorakhpur.
He mentioned that the Sanghachalak (President), Karyavah (Secretary) and Pracharak (Organizing secretary) representing Prant (state units) of RSS (41 Pranths / State units from all over India will take part in this ABKM that meets twice every year. Other than these state functionaries, the 400 participants will include prominent karyakartas from social organizations working in different walks of life in the society. The meeting will deliberate on reviewing and future planning of organizational matters and activities and some resolutions on key national issues will also be passed in the meeting.
ABKM takes alongside the larger Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), consisting of about 1200 members, and the second time between Dushera and Deepawali. Last year it was held in Gorakhpur. The meeting will deliberate on reviewing and future planning of organizational matters and activities along with discussion on any new programmes Resolutions on key national issues will also be passed in the meeting.
Two resolutions have been proposed for discussion during this meeting. The topics are
1. Ethinic Strife in Assam - How illegal immigration of Bangladeshis are vitiating the peace and harmony of the entire North East.
2. Newly proposed Land Acquisition Bill - how it would affect the rural people and the farming sector ? What extent we need to go for the sake of development.
He mentioned that widespread and detailed discussions on these topics would be held and resolutions passed accordingly.
He also responded that RSS does not discuss specific political issues but discussions would be held on wider national scenario.
He invited the press to cover the Inauguration of the ABKM on the 2nd Nov @ 8:30AM.
A press meet would be addressed by the Sarkaryawah (General Secretary) of RSS Shri Bhayyaji Joshi on 4th Nov @ 11:00AM at the end of the ABKM.
