RSS condemns Centre's confrontationist attitude

As a part of INDEPENDENCE DAY celebration Sarsanghachalak Mohanji Bhagwat unfurled the tri colour in a simple ceremony on 15-8-2011 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. RSS General Secretary Bhaiyyaji Suresh Joshi, Dr Manmohan Vaidya, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of RSS and several senior Sangh leaders were also present. Soon after the function, the RSS condemns the Government of India's confrontationist posture viz-a-viz. Anna Hazare anti-corruption agititation. Here is the full text of the statement: "The decision of the Central Government of not allowing to hold the anti-corruption agitation led by Shri Anna hazare is unfortunate and anti-people. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh strongly condemns this adamant tendency of the Central Government and extends its support to the agitation led by Anna Hazare. Instead of adopting the way of dialogue, ridiculing the wide spread support of the people of country to Anna Hazare's agitation and creating a confrontationist atmosphere by the Government is unwarranted and improper."

Later on, on August 16, Anna Hazare was detained when he rejected Centre's conditions to hold the fast and proceeded to sit in an indefinite past. On this occasion Anna Hazare hinted at 'Fill the Jail' agitation in future.
