Aaagama rules upheld by alert Hindus

Every institution functions on a set of rules. Ancient Hindu temples' rituals are governed by rules known as Aagamas. Recently in Chennai, some mischief makers tried to enter the Garba-graha (Sanctum Santorum) in order to vilify Hindu religious observances. Hindu Munnani volunteers took a lead in alerting pious Hindu devotees of kapaleeshwara (Kapaleeshwara temple in Mylapore in the heart of Chennai Metro) and called in the police. The mischief makers consisting of Tamil extremists and separatists were effectively thrown out of the temple premises before they could give effect to any mischief in the holy place.
