Statement issued by Dr.Manmohan Vaidya on Demonetization of High Value Currency Notes
The decision taken by the Government of India to demonetize high value currency notes is in national interest and with the honest intention of setting in motion and cleaner transparent monetary transactions and practices in the country. Its impact is being felt everywhere.
All anti-national, separatists and terrorists activities in the country seem to have come to a sudden halt, resulting in restoration of normalcy in Kashmir Valley after a long time. It is obvious that the common people have to face some difficulties initially as this is a drastic step towards financial integrity and accountability in the country with the aim of making our economy safe and vibrant.
We appeal to the people to cooperate and support the Government in this noble endeavor, irrespective of the temporary but unavoidable inconvenience caused. We are confident that the patriotic people of Bharat will cooperate with the Government for a better tomorrow.
