BSNL orders compulsory retirement to Sabarimala activist Rehana

Activist Rehana Fatima who stirred a controversy in 2018 on her attempt to enter the Sabarimala temple, has been ordered to go on compulsory retirement by BSNL. Kerala was on the boil for few weeks as the devotees of Lord Ayyappa were protesting against the entry of women in the temple. 

Rehana was arrested for her Facebook posting which hurt religious sentiments, beliefs of Hindus. Pathanamthitta police filed a case against Rehana under section 295A. The inquiry found her guilty and the order was issued asking her to go on compulsory retirement with immediate effect. The court had questioned why Rehana want to go to Sabarimala when she in her Facebook post said that Lord Ayyappa is not a Hindu.
