Gaziabad (UP), March 13: Over 500 Muslim “Gau Rakshaks” are expected to participate
in the first ever two-day conference of ‘Muslim Gau-Rakshaks’ at Raipur in
Chhattisgarh on March 25-26. This is for the first time in the history of
independent India such a conference of Muslims engaged in cow protection, cow rearing
and dairy business is being organized under the auspices of Muslim Rashtriya
Manch (MRM).
In a telephonic discussion with
Newsbharati.com, national convener of MRM’s ‘Gau-Raksha Prakoshth’ Mohd Faiz
Khan said that a preparatory meeting of selected activists was held on March 12
in which over 40 MRM activists from Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and
Delhi participated. The meeting was chaired by Patron of Gau-Raksha Prakoshth
Haji Tayyab Qureshi, MRM Organization convener Girish Juyal, Mohd Faiz Khan and
others.
The two-day conference being held at
Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh will see the presence of Swami Gyananandji
Maharaj, Sant Gopalmaniji, MRM Patron Indresh Kumar, besides Muslim Ulemas and
other religious leaders.
The two-day conference will
deliberate on Islamic view point on cow protection, schemes of cow rearing,
importance of cow in social, economic and national life, and managing gau-shalas.
It may be recalled that the Muslim
Rashtriya Manch in its Mumbai workshop had constituted the ‘Gau Rakshak
Praakoshth’ with Haji Tayyab Qureshi as Patron and Mohd Faiz Khan as Convener.
Khan had undertaken a fast at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on this issue in the
recent past.
