America an Advaitic nation; an American Scholar
A few years back ‘Newsweek’, an American magazine, published an article titled ‘We are all becoming Hindus’; that startled America. But the fact is that America is becoming philosophically a Advaita land. Religion to American today is not belief based, but experience based. America, thought to be a Christian nation is taking to Hindu philosophy for its basis of religion – this was the observation of Philip Goldberg an American teacher of Vedanta and Meditation at a meeting under the auspicious of ‘Professionals for Dharma’, a forum blessed by Swami Dayanand Saraswathi of Arsha Vidya Peetam on November 17. Philip Goldberg pointed out that Church-going is not religion according to the changing American mind. Goldberg said, Americans including himself are indebted to our Dharma, our country and our Gurus for showing them the right way.

It was an indirect indictment of the UPA Government by none but the Vice President of India Hamid Ansari. Touching on how the nearly 220 million-strong minority population, especially Muslims, were lagging behind in all facets of human development - at a time when India has seen accelerated growth - Ansari said,“The status quo is unacceptable and needs to be corrected at the earliest”. He was speaking at the Madras University Centenary auditorium at the diamond jubilee celebration of The New College (a minority college managed by Muslims) on 12th November, 2013.
Police bluff called in Jihadi attack
It was an attempt by the police to water down the seriousness of attack by Jihadi terrorists on Hindu leaders. The police now stand exposed. Read on: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Vellore Sub-division S Dhakshinamoorthy and then Inspector of Vellore South Station Annadurai has been given ‘punishment transfer’ orders for arresting false accused in BJP Medical Wing secretary Dr Arvinth Reddy’s murder case a year ago. Director General of Police (DGP) K Ramanujam has issued the orders. Reddy was murdered on October 23, 2012 in front of his clinic. The arrest of false accused in the case came to light after the special investigation team of CB-CID nabbed ‘Police’ Fakruddin and his associates ‘Panna’ Ismail and Bilal Malik two months ago in connection with murder cases of Hindu Munnai State secretary S Vellaiyappan BJP General Secretary ‘Auditor’ Ramesh. The terror suspects said that Dr Reddy was one of their victims.
