Only RSS can take the message of Swami Vivekananda to the masses.... 

“Swami Vivekananda is common to all. 150th Birthday Celebrations begin from January 12, 2013. His messages should reach the youth in all Schools, Colleges, Villages and Cities. It is not possible for a single man to reach out the nook and corner of the nation. It needs a good organization to reach the mass successfully. Such organization is none other than Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Only RSS can do such a great work. We should join ourselves with RSS and work for the cause. Through this, we can guide the youth to be in good path”, said Dr. G Viswanathan, (Founder & Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology, Former Member of Parliament, Former Minister, Government of Tamilnadu and the President of Swami Vivekananda 150th Birth Celebration State Committee of Tamilnadu) at an inaugural Vellore District Level Committee function. Sri V G Selvam (S/o. of Dr. G.Viswanathan – State level committee President) will be the President of the District Committee. Sri D G Kathiranandan S/o former DMK Minister will be the General Secretary of the Committee. It was decided that the message should reach thousands of houses to perform Swami Ji’s pooja on January 12 in all villages enrolling large number of youths.

Sri Stanumaalayan, Dakshin Kshetra Pracharak, VIT University Vice President Sri Selvam, District Secretary Ezhai Munusamy and Sri Jagadeesan Nagar Secretary were present.

Maths genius Ramanujam remembered 

“Mathematicians world over have realized the importance of the legendary Srinivasa Ramanujam and his contribution in the field of Mathematics,” said George Andrews from Pennsylvania State University in a news item. In memory of his 125th Birth Anniversary, at a special convocation at Sastra University, Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu, George Andrews was conferred a degree of Doctor of Science. 

Srinivasa Ramanujan an all-time great Mathematician of Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu has left behind 4000 original theorems, despite his lack of formal education and a short life-span. Swayamsevaks all over the country recite his name as part of Ekatmatha Stothram. Last year in 2011, recognizing the contribution to Mathematics, the Government of India declared his Birthday which falls on 22nd December is celebrated every year as ‘National Mathematics Day’ and also declared year 2012 as the National Mathematical Year. A special volume of the Ramanujan Journal, containing 26 papers by 50 leading researchers on various aspects of Ramanujan's works, was also released. 

Legal war on secular invasion of Hindu temples

Swami Dayananda Saraswati, internationally acclaimed Vedanta master has approached the Supreme court with a petition condemning officials of secular Government treating Hindu temples as their personal estate. On this petition, the Supreme Court has issued notices to Government of Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh states. Swamiji’s petition seeks to put an end to uphold freedom of religious practice by Hindus guaranteed by a Constitution of India.
